Does Planned Parenthood offer walk ins?
All of our services require an appointment. Walk-ins can be accommodated on a case-by-case basis. In order to ensure you are seen in a timely manner, an appointment can be made over the phone or online.
How do you qualify for free services at Planned Parenthood?
To qualify, we ask all patients seeking services at Planned Parenthood present the most recent four week snapshot of your income (such as recent pay stubs or, if you are unemployed, proof of your unemployment benefits or inability to work).
How long do appointments take at Planned Parenthood?
Although every appointment is different, there is a common process that you can expect when you visit Planned Parenthood. If you have an appointment, the usual wait time is between one and two hours. Wait time for walk-ins is usually between two and three hours.

- Bring your photo ID, insurance card, copay, and policyholder information.
- If you get your insurance through someone else (like a parent), bring their full name and date of birth.
- If you have an additional card you need to bring with you to the pharmacy to get medications (PBM card), bring it to the visit.
Will my parents know if I go to Planned Parenthood?
Will my parents need to know I visited Planned Parenthood? Our health centers provide confidential services, so your parents do not have to know that you came. Please note that we do encourage parent-teen communication, and we can help facilitate those conversations if needed.
Does Planned Parenthood offer financial assistance?
Financial assistance is available for most services offered at Planned Parenthood. We accept Medicaid (OHP / Apple Health) and offer a variety of funding programs that may help pay for your visit.
Can I get birth control from Planned Parenthood without insurance?
Anyone who is uninsured or underinsured can get free or low-cost birth control at Planned Parenthood.
Does Planned Parenthood do same day appointments?

Do you need an ID at Planned Parenthood?
